Soldier's Wish

(I had not heard of this until recently.)

Soldier's Wish was designed to identify the unmet needs of U.S. military personnel, veterans and their families, and provide the necessary resources to meet those needs. The non-profit organization is saluting and serving our nation's heroes this summer by traveling to seven special events throughout the country with The American Legion and the HISTORY Channel to grant wishes and educate Americans about the needs of veterans and servicemembers.

The Legion's Commitment

The American Legion's mission and core values meet those of Soldier's Wish, resulting in a relationship that was approved and adopted during the 2013 Spring National Executive meetings. The relationship gives The American Legion an opportunity to promote its programs and services at the summer-long series of special events, and it allows the Legion to help grant wishes for those who have served the nation and their families.
