Thank you to all the American Legions, American Legion Auxiliaries, Sons of the American Legion and other organizations who have sent to VAVS representative Pat Gilbert, donations for the veterans snacks, coffee, crafts and other items needed. VA GIFT SHOP
The 5th District and all the American Legion families including Legion, Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion all contribute to this program. The program is more than 40 years old and has become a holiday tradition. In a typical year, the auxiliary spends about $8,000 on holiday gifts for local veterans and their families. Various gifts included winter clothing, kitchen appliances and toys and games for children and teenagers.
