The Oswego County visitation chairman was Shawn M. Mills,
seated next to his wife Angela.

Lighted Japanese lanterns adorned every table and all dignitaries had boutonnieres and corsages created by David Rowlee and donated by the Rowlee family. Many members of our American Legion family donated their time and effort to make this dinner a success.

Unfortunately the Oswego County American Legion Commander was not present due to health problems. Past department vice commander James R. Ellis filled in for him.

Each of the department of New York officers spoke briefly on their programs for the year and all were adamant about increasing our membership to keep supporting all veterans and their families with active programs like Empire Girls State, Boys State, the oratorical contest and other children and youth activities. Donations were accepted for the officers' project including the National Emergency Fund which is used to assist the victims of floods, hurricanes and other tragic events.
