During the month of May, American Legion Auxiliary units and posts distribute poppies created by veterans to those who donate. The funds are used for veterans and their needs. When you see someone selling poppies, why not donate a buck or two and know you are helping a veteran?
At the 5th District Annual Spring Conference, many poppies were used in special displays, some of which are forwarded to the New York State Department Convention to be judged in July 2016.
