Jessica Norris of Allegany County
(8th District) is the first place winner of the 78th Annual State-wide
Constitutional Speech Contest.
Sponsored by the Department of New
York Oratorical Scholarship Program, the contest took place Saturday, Feb. 28,
at Sand Creek Middle School in Colonie, NY.
Jessica beat four other contestants
from a cross section of New York State, winning a $6,000 scholarship and the
opportunity to represent New York State at the National Oratorical Contest to
be held in Indianapolis, IN in April.
